Activation of catalyst particles for single-walled carbon nanotube synthesis

In this work, we evaluate the effect of ferrocene delivery in reactor on growth single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) an aerosol CVD utilizing monoxide as a feedstock. For purpose, assess output parameters varying gas flow rate through vapor injector hot zone with other conditions (temperature, total rate, and reactant concentration) being fixed. Our experimental results reveal adjustment injection strategy (injector rate) to cause 9-fold improvement synthesis yield while preserving SWCNT properties. We show catalyst optimization enhance activation degree result streamline delivery, preventing particle over-growth; data are supported by computational fluid dynamics. believe our work highlight importance appropriate engineering facilitate productivity, which is one fundamental milestones towards SWCNT-based technology.
